HomeUncategorizedWhen a Child Should Start Working on English Grammar Skills

Teachers around the country think that more emphasis should be placed on English Grammar lessons in elementary school.

Being exposed to English Grammar exercises from an early age, gives children the opportunity to improve their essay writing in high school and college.

Many children do not understand basic grammar rules. Hence, making it difficult for them to speak proper grammar and also write it.

I took the pleasure of exposing my daughter from as early as five years old to English Grammar, because where I was born and educated children were introduced to English Grammar from a very young age.

We were taught the correct use of “A” and “An”, “Is” and “Are” vowels and lots more.

A child with good grammar skills speaks with confidence. She knows her tenses and verbs and she stands out among her peers.

From as early as five years old I started my daughter with the basic English Grammar rules. After we completed a topic we will spend some time practicing some fun grammar exercises to ensure she understood.

As she got older I increased it, introducing her to the use of tenses, subject and verb agreement and the correct use of punctuation marks.

She is ten years old and her English Grammar is exceptional. It is really funny how she is always listening to conversations and correcting us if our grammar is out of line.

She speaks with authority, explaining why it should be said this way and not that way. It’s awesome!

My English Grammar exercises explain the use of the topic then some practice. The advice I give to parents with young children is to get them started early.

Teach your children the correct use of A and An, Is and Are, Has and Have, Homonyms and basic sentence construction.

With knowledge of these basic rules at an early age, your child will be ready to handle her assignments and essay writing later in school.

Children tend to grasp information and show interest when the activities are colorful. It is not just a whole bunch of text on a piece of paper to bore them. This is why I emphasize that learning can be fun if structured the correct way.

I took the pleasure in sharing some basic grammar rules with you, which include the English Grammar exercises that have my daughter top in her class and one of the best essay writers.
