HomeBlogWater-Inspired Digital Fabrics : Krista Kim

Krista Kim, a Toronto-based artist, created a range of digital fabrics that resemble the fluidity of water. The digital collection was designed for The Fabricant, a digital fashion house. Kim’s material will make up part of the Nymph collection.

The material is called Transcendence. It is designed to move like water, inspired by the substance’s elegant fluidity. Thus far, it has been used on a headdress that forms the central piece in the Nymph collection. Overall, the hyper-realistic collection includes a range of gothic undergarments, a pair of black thigh-high boots, the Nymph headdress, and a Hemdrok jacket. The headdress and shirt are flowing and lightweight, which contrasts the utilitarian design of other pieces in the collection, including the shoes.
