HomeSportPost Malone Tells Fans 'Everything's Good' After Fall, Will Continue Tour

Post Malone may have fallen during a show in St. Louis over the weekend, but he isn’t letting bruised ribs keep him down. The musician has since reassured worried fans that he intends to continue on his current tour.

The “White Iverson” rapper-singer thanked St. Louis attendees for “putting up with [his] dumb ass” in a video posted to Twitter. He then explained that he’d tumbled because of a “big-ass hole” that appears in the stage amid his set’s acoustic portion, where his guitar and guitar stand rise.

“I turn the corner and bust my ass and it winded me pretty good, got me pretty good,” the Grammy Award-nominated musician said in the video. “We just got back from the hospital, and everything’s good. Everything’s good. They gave me some some pain meds and everything so we can keep kicking ass on the tour.”

Even though Posty had continued the set for several songs before heading to the hospital, according to NME, he apologized to St. Louis fans in the video. He also vowed to do a two-hour show next time he’s in the city to make up for a couple of missed songs.

Video of the nasty fall circulated on social media over the weekend, with fans and fellow musicians alike wishing him a speedy recovery.

The Los Angeles Times notes that the spill came after Malone had sung a verse from his 2019 banger “Circles”: “I got a feeling that it’s time to let it go.” The rapper had attempted to turn and walk back up the stage but fell hard when he stepped into the wide hole with his right foot.

After landing on the floor face down, Malone rolled over to lie on his back and was soon surrounded by stage technicians dressed in black.

Following rumors that the 27-year-old had broken several ribs, Malone’s team posted a clarification on social media.

Dre London, Malone’s manager, wrote on Instagram Sunday that X-rays of the artist’s ribs revealed they were only bruised.

“In true Posty fashion loving his fans he finished the show!” the manager wrote. “I truly don’t know any artist like him. Talking to him few hrs ago he was still saying Dre don’t go hard on em’ explaining more then saying ‘the show must go on! let’s all keep him in our thoughts as we know he will wake up in pain.”

Several entertainment-industry titans have sent Malone good vibes via London’s post. DJ Tiësto wrote that Malone is “strong,” and Scream actor David Arquette commented with three red heart emojis.

Malone is currently touring in support of his latest album, the introspective Twelve Carat Toothache, which was released earlier this summer to mixed reviews. The offering debuted at the second slot on the Billboard 200 chart.

Newsweek reached out to Malone representatives for comment.
