HomeServiceDuvet-Inspired Dresses : stuck at home

The Stuck-at-Home Masquerade collection by Design Academy Eindhoven graduate Santa Kupča consists of three garments that were created to be worn during video calls. Created during the coronavirus pandemic, the designs represent different aspects of having to stay indoors. All of the designs boast A-line forms that are plush, pillowy and reminiscent of duvet covers.

Kupča describes her experience with Zoom, saying, “I was distracted by wanting to see how I looked on the screen while talking to other people and if my background and the lights around me looked good enough. I suddenly felt like I was trying to stage everything around me, which was the starting point of Stuck-at-Home Masquerade.” Fittingly, the designs are made from found materials in the home.
